This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Alien Evolution Labs (“we”, “us”) collects, how it is used, and the rights you have over it. This page is maintained by the app owner and describes current practices in the app.

Your Right to Anonymity

You may use any fantasy display name, username, or avatar you like. There is no requirement to use your real name, and we do not verify legal identity. Public creations show only the display name and avatar you choose.

Personal Data We Collect

Email address — used solely to sign you in, secure your account, send transactional messages (e.g. password reset, purchase receipts), and, if you opt in, product updates.
Display name and avatar — shown publicly on content you choose to publish.
Account activity — credit balances, purchase records, and generation history tied to your account.
Bug reports — text and attachments you voluntarily submit.

How We Use Your Email

Your email is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing. It is used only for authentication, account security, transactional notifications, and — where you have opted in — service updates from us. Payment processing is handled by Stripe under their own privacy terms.

Account Deletion & Orphaning of Content

You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page (“Danger Zone”) — this in-app option satisfies Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play’s account-deletion requirements. A public, no-login-required deletion page is also available at /delete-account, and you can email privacy@alienevolution.app to request deletion if you cannot sign in.

When you delete your account:

Your personal data is purged immediately from live systems: email, password credentials, profile, avatar, likes, comments, follows, credit balance, bug reports, saved presets, and any metadata that could link creations back to you.
Your generated creatures and their images are orphaned rather than destroyed. All links between you and the content are severed. Public attribution is replaced with the anonymous label “Hero of the Past”, and profile links are removed.
This approach preserves the community’s enjoyment of the creative content while satisfying your right to erasure over personal data. If you would prefer your creations to be deleted as well, tell us before deletion and we will honor that request.
Deletion is irreversible.

Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar)

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification — correct inaccurate data via your Profile or by contacting us.
Erasure — delete your account in-app, or contact us. We respond within one month (GDPR Art. 12(3)).
Object / withdraw consent — opt out of non-essential email at any time via the unsubscribe link.
Portability — request an export of your account data.
Non-discrimination (CCPA/CPRA) — exercising a privacy right will not degrade the service you receive.

Data Retention

Active accounts: personal data is retained for the life of the account.
After deletion — live systems: personal data is removed immediately.
After deletion — backups: encrypted database backups rotate out within 30 days; deleted data is not restored except during a disaster-recovery event.
Financial / tax records: minimal purchase records (amount, date, invoice ID) are retained for up to 7 years to meet tax law obligations.
Payment processor: Stripe independently retains transaction records under its own compliance program; we will forward customer-PII deletion requests to Stripe on request.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Subprocessors

We rely on the following providers to operate the service: Supabase (authentication, database, storage), Stripe (payments), and AI model providers (Google Gemini, xAI Grok) for generation. Each is bound by its own security and privacy commitments.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
